Reading is still a relatively new passion of mine. I started getting back into reading late 2022-early 2023 and have been addicted ever since. I primarily read romance and fantasy.
A goal of mine is to expand the bookish community here on the small web and bring readers together. This has started with The Book Ring which has many community-focused expansions planned for 2024.

This is by far the best book shopping resource I have found to date! It’s a reputable online discount bookstore where you can buy books for 50%-75%+ OFF the new retailing price! I’ve bought entire box sets and tons of popular books from this site for a fraction of the new retailing price, and the reason they go so cheap is because these books are often returns, special buys, or overstock they receive directly from the publishers.

Community Involvement.
As I’ve been growing more into this hobby as well as the small web, I really wanted to create a space where readers could easily find and befriend others who love books and reading. So I’ve created a webring and directory called The Book Ring!
The Book Ring isn’t exclusive to just the small web, but I am hoping it will become an avenue for others to discover the small web. Authors as well as book bloggers are also welcome to join. ♥ So long as you have your own website/blog with book-related content and can share our webring code, you are welcome!
As of 2024, The Book Ring has made some expansion efforts. It is primarily settled in my library subdomain, though, you can still access is through Neocities as well. I have implemented more social features and intend to keep expanding this community, so be sure to check it out and join if it’s something you’re interested in!

Went to the #OnyxStorm midnight #book release last night! Hubby and I had already pre-ordered a special edition copy last year but Amazon is so slow with delivering pre-orders it won't arrive until the end of the month. I'm part of so many book groups and just knew I'd see spoilers everywhere. I listened to Call Me Maybe on audio book and this was a really cute story. This story follows Kal and Vera as Vera struggles to get tech support for her Date-in-the-box website. Kal, is posing as a tech agent. (That's all I'll say, I won't spoil the ending!) Nola and Caleb broke up on bad terms years ago after she moved away. When she returned, they still weren't on good terms and tried to avoid each other. Caleb's coworker knows Caleb still loves Nola and has regrets, and takes it into his own hands to play matchmaker. I loved the story between Sloan and Luke, and I felt so bad for Asa, despite how terrible he was. He had such a horrible upbringing in an abusive household, it made my heart hurt for him. This was an amazing story and I could definitely see myself re-reading. The book starts off with Hannah trying to get her dad's Sweater back that she accidentally left at her ex's house 15 years ago in hopes he might still have it. They end up reconciling and rekindling a lot of their old feelings. This was a fairly short listen, about a couple of hours, but I definitely enjoyed myself. The Cozy Cat gave 2 stars to One of Those Flings (Audible Audio) by Lauren Blakely bookshelves: owned-books, adult-romance It was one of the okayest romance audio books I've listened to. Nothing special, not memorable, didn't feel anything for the characters and the story was just okay. Didn't hate it but didn't like it. It was just something to listen to while doing chores around the house.
