This year’s book haul was quite something! Probably over 50 books to be honest ๐
and this isn’t even all of them! But to be fair, most of these are not new. I bought most of them from BookOutlet for a fraction of the price of new while they had their Black Friday sale, and the rest I got thrifting. Hubby stacked them and put them in two giant santa sacks. ๐คฃ It was quite a sight to behold when they were both full! This pic only shows one of them because I opened the other one haha! Hubby also surprised me with a book stamper! It has an ACOTAR quote on it and says “from the library of (my name)”. I am using it to stamp all the books that will be remaining in my permanent library, so books I never intend to ever sell, essentially. If I ever lend them out, people can’t pretend like they forgot it was mine because my name will be stamped right on the inside. ๐
Next year we are building our own home and I’m going to have a wall of floor-to-ceiling bookshelves built in the livingroom! I am so incredibly excited for this. โค๏ธ Hopefully I’ll be off to a good start filling those shelves! As I read through my books, I’m only going to be keeping the books I absolutely love that are at least 4-5 star reads. If they are any lower than 4 stars I’ll resell them. There are a couple authors that I am collecting books from as I really love their work: Colleen Hoover and Sarah J. Maas. I do have high hopes for Stephanie Garber’s books but I have yet to read any so we’ll see if she lives up to the hype.
Whether you got a little or a lot this Holiday season, don’t fret. <3 Presents are fun but they aren’t everything. The most important thing is spending time with those you love and cherishing your time together. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and have a Happy New Year!
