My husband and I are starting to make a lot more of our own food. I’m really not a great cook, which has lead me to eat a lot more carbs and have a really unbalanced diet, because it’s easy. A lot of my weight gain over the years has probably been due to this fact, but I’m hoping with these new changes that’ll definitely help. Once it gets warmer I’d really like to get outside and start walking more as well.
In other news, I bought a new PC keyboard that will be arriving later this week! I’ve been admiring the mechanical keyboards all the #cozygamer girlies use and it has inspired me to get one of my own. I just turned 30 last month, and at this point in my life, gaming isn’t something I’m likely to ever give up as a hobby. My parents I think feel it’s childish but why is that a bad thing? I think it’s a great thing to be in touch with your inner child, to still enjoy the things you enjoyed as a child. I don’t think maturity is dependent on the things you enjoy in your free time, but moreso how you get by in the world and handle situations. But I do find with age I am settling into decorating and styles that bring more comfort and warmth verses styles that are really bright and quirky. Even the games I play these days are more focused around relaxation rather than games that leave me on edge and create stress. I think that’s why I’ve taken more to the cozy gaming niche, because in a lot of ways it feels like that’s where the more mature crowd is at.
