I’ll Meet You In Florence by @angelapearseauthor is a romantic comedy about a girl who meets a musician while house sitting for a couple on vacation. She ends up helping him with his writer’s block on some lyrics he’s struggling with in his song writing. She leaves for Italy for another house sitting job and he ends up tracking her down to reconnect with her as she’s the solution to his writer’s block. They get to know each other in exploring Italy together, experience a lot of chemistry, but things get complicated as relationships from both of their pasts come back to haunt them.
I finished this book in about a day and absolutely loved it! I found it to be a bit slow in the beginning, there was quite a bit of build up before the two main characters really started regularly interacting with each other, but I’m glad I waited it out because the wait was most definitely worth it. I loved Jenna’s thought process throughout the book and often found myself giggling throughout and could see a lot of myself in her character. She is very relatable. Seth as a character I really enjoyed as well. He is introverted, but really quite down to earth, fun and even quite mischievous once you get to know him.
I’ve tried not to include many spoilers in this review for the sake of keeping this book a surprise for new readers, but for those who would like a more detailed review with some spoilers, you can find that one on my book blog: https://cottage.thecozy.cat/blog/ill-meet-you-in-florence-by-angela-pearse-book-review-the-cozy-cat/
